I have been blown away by the amount of support I have received for this quickly approaching trip! BLOWN AWAY!! People who have prayerfully and financially supported this trip...THANK YOU!! It's because of you I get to go and be a part of this! I know with all my heart that great things are about to come! I am so excited to see how everything turns out.
WE ARE LEAVING FRIDAY!! I feel ready, but at the same time so not ready!! Nerves are setting in a bit. I just don't know what to expect. I know it will all work out for His glory, so I'm working on letting everything go! This is something you all can be praying about for me!
Today at church, it was so fun seeing friends with a smile on their faces and joy in their hearts as they each exclaimed something like, " YOU'RE GOING TO CHINA!!" or "YOU LEAVE SO SOON!" I seriously have the best friends. I know lots of people say this, but its so true! I'm beyond blessed!
Along with all the sweet words and hugs that I got today another blessing happened. It came from a 10 year old boy named Peter...
This is Peter. He was adopted this year from China. His dad and sister met him at "Bring Me Hope"...the camp I'm going to!! The church I attend goes to this camp every year! I've always wanted to go, but never went through with it to sign up. Thought my time to go had passed and I wrote it off...I wasn't going to go...then I met Peter! Soon after I met him I knew I had to go! I had to help other kids find their forever families! I had to be a part of that! So, I signed up. I'm going! :)
At church today Peter brought me a bag of sunflower seeds. He told his mom that I needed them for the trip. Just seeing the joy he had as he gave them to me and when he asked, "you're going to china?!" He loved my answer and decided he wanted to go with me...in my suitcase! As long as he would be able to come back to the US he was okay with it!:) I was kinda able to bribe him out of it...with the promise of bringing back candy(NO CHOCOLATE!!) and a water bottle from China, I am able to go to china without my little stowaway:)
He doesn't know how much he has impacted my life in the short amount of time I have known him, but he truly has. Love this boy and his gift of a bag of sunflower seeds :)
